Going to a college is a time when you learn and grow, gain new knowledge and life experience. It is the moment for all students to expose themselves to a diversity of ideas, people, and numerous activities; elements which are crucial to a well-rounded education.

At IRDM we seek to intentionally promote student learning and development through varied, high-quality services, programmes, and opportunities that will allow you to balance the components of intellectual, physical, emotional and social growth.

Our courses are designed and delivered to holistically integrate knowledge, skills, and attitudes into abilities to perform. Our training programs are therefore designed to invoke Performance-based learning and assessment criteria.

In designing and delivering our Programs, the Institute draws training professionals across the continent with a wealth of expertise, specialist skills and extensive work experience relating to cutting-edge workplace issues and challenges. At IRDM we fully subscribe to the principles of adult education, recognition is given to the individual student’s need for professional and personal development. The courses are structured such that they are Participatory, draw on participants’ Prior knowledge and experience, use of case studies, simulations, group activities and field studies.

The institute also works with organizations for the purpose of transforming them into “Knowledge-Intensive-Enterprises”. This orientation is premised on the realization that the single most key success factor for any organization is competitiveness; in turn competitiveness is anchored around learning organizations. Thus, we create opportunities for organizations to become knowledge-intensive by empowering them to harness the full potential of their employees through carefully designed and rigorously delivered learning programs.

Who We Are

The Institute of Research Management and Development (IRDM) is a private tertiary institution established in 2013 through the Companies Act of 2009 as a Management Consultancy and later registered with Swaziland Higher Education Council in 2017 (SH.04.17) as a Higher Learning Institute following the enactment of the Swaziland Higher Education Act of 2013. IRDM is also registered in South Sudan and South Africa as a consultancy Company.

IRDM focuses on offering a wide range of high-quality short courses, seminars, workshops, Certificates, diplomas and degrees aimed at equipping learners at all levels of the workforce with the hard and soft skills needed to improve key competencies essential for on-the-job performance improvement as well as management consultancy and research.

IRDM courses are offered in collaboration and affiliation with Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership (CIML- USA), Chartered Institute of Customer Management (CICM), Chartered Institute of leadership & Governance (CILG-USA), Zimbabwe Institute of Management (ZIM) and Copperstone University – Zambia.
