Entry Requirements
STUDENT RECRUITMENT AND ADMISSION
- The institution’s client catchment area spans across the Kingdom of Eswatini spilling into neighbouring countries and abroad.
- Students shall be accorded equal opportunities to pursue programmes of their own choice regardless of skin colour, gender, religion, age nor nationality.
- Recruitment of students for enrolment shall be an ongoing exercise but there shall be two intakes per year, that is, one in January and the other in July every year (where a year runs from the first of January to the thirty-first of December)
- The institution shall run sustained advertisements in national newspapers, over the social media and through radio and television to ensure as wide a reach as possible within and outside the country.
- Prospective students exhibiting indecisiveness shall be afforded free access to Career Guidance offered as a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by the institution.
- Successful registration shall consist of the following:
- A fully completed registration form with no blank spaces submitted by the applicant
- 2 passport-size colour photos
- Certified photocopies of school leaving certificates
- Certified copy of ID for guardian/person responsible for fees
- Certified copy of ID for the applicant
- Any other credentials supporting the applicant’s competency in a chosen field of study.
- Registration shall consist of the following:
- Submission of the registration paperwork
- Payment of the prescribed deposit amount in effect at the time
- The student shall be furnished with the following:
- Acceptance Letter confirming their admission and enrolment with the Institute of Research Management and Development College Eswatini.
- A college ID Card
- Branded corporate wear
- For students who are sponsored by individuals or institutions other than their families the acceptance letter shall be posted directly to the person or institute responsible for the payment of their tuition fees.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS TO PROGRAMMES
- General Entry Requirements:
- 5 good High School passes at Grade C or better
- National ID Card or Student Permit
- Birth Certificate
- iv. Fluency in the English language
- Mature Entry Requirements:
- Copy of birth certificate (23 years and above)
- Confirmation of employment in a relevant field
- Proficiency in the English Language
- Post Graduate Programmes’ Entry Requirements:
- First degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field from a recognised institution with a minimum classification of number 2 (Mature entry requirements)
- ii. First degree or Advanced Diploma to have a research component
- Fluency in the English Language
CHANGING PROGRAMMES
- A learner may not defer or receive a refund of the fees paid for any programme of study if they are a company-sponsored participant enrolled in a program through their employer.
- Should they wish to change programmes of study, they should contact their employer’s representative to communicate their intentions.
- These restrictions do not apply to those who completed their own applications, paid for the program themselves, and plan to request employer reimbursement.
DEFERRING YOUR ENROLMENT
- Once a learner has enrolled and paid for a program, they may request a deferral of their enrolment in writing and they will be enrolled in a later offering of the same program, subject to the policies below.
- A student may request an enrolment deferral at any time before their program starts, and not later than one week after the start of their program but they will have to start the program over after deferring as no work completed will transfer to the later offering.
- One may only defer once. If they have previously deferred, they will not be eligible for an additional deferral or a refund.
APPLICATION, TUITION AND EXAMINATION FEES
- Upon registration a learner is required to make a full payment of their tuition fees for the semester.
- The learner shall neither be required to pay registration nor examination fees.
- Failure of which the learner shall remit a deposit whose amount shall be E2500 or as determined from time to time.
- Thereafter the learner shall settle the remainder of their tuition fees before the end-of-semester examinations.
- However, no student shall be allowed into class if his or her instalments are not up to date nor will they be allowed into the examination room to take any examination, test or assessment if they are not paid up.
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS
- After enrolling in a program, one may request a withdrawal with refund up until 24 hours before the start of their program.
- Once the learner has requested to withdraw from a programme of study with a refund, the institution will return funds through the payment method used while enrolling, minus E200 banking charges or as determined from time to time.
- A learner may request a withdrawal without refund if they have completed less than half of their program.
- Withdrawing will allow the learner to apply and enrol for the same program at a later time.
STUDENT WELFARE AND WELLNESS
- Prospective and enrolled students shall have unlimited access to Guidance and Counselling services throughout their engagement as learners at the institution.
- Every student enrolled at the institution shall be eligible to partake of the following complimentary packages at no additional cost:
- Basic Computer Applications
- Academic Writing
- Entrepreneurship
- Wellness Wednesdays
- These procedures and guidelines shall constitute the whole student administration and welfare policy unless and until an amendment or repeal is mooted and resolved.
